Treatment of Stress and Anxiety: Pharmacological Treatment - Use of drugs is needed for global fear or generalized anxiety, or excessive stress or fear responses; Anxiolytic drug is given to reduce the anxiety to a level at which the dog can learn; Behavior modification techniques (counter-conditioning and response substitution) are used simultaneously
